Everything under one roof

Our 12,000 sq. ft. shop in Saint-Léonard brings expertise and equipment together under one roof.

An engine or component can be entrusted to a single shop that can inspect, machine, regrind, supply certain parts and assemble as needed, without involving multiple shops or dividing responsibility.

Not every job requires all these steps. Our team determines what is appropriate based on the part's condition and the work requested.

Everything under one roof.

That's one of the main advantages of working with Universal Crankshaft: fewer providers, a direct evaluation and coordinated work tailored to each job.

Diesel, industrial and other applications served

Diesel and industrial applications are an important part of our shop's work, particularly for industrial diesel engines and trucks and heavy equipment.

Universal Crankshaft also serves automotive, performance and racing, tractors and agricultural equipment, marine applications and small engines. See all applications.

Direct expertise

Richard Bélanger is our shop's main technical resource for engines, parts, compatibility and the feasibility of work.

Before work begins, each part or engine is evaluated based on its actual condition and restoration potential, not through an automated process.

You speak directly with a knowledgeable team rather than an online store or a generic call centre.

Trust and expertise

Several factors contribute to the trust placed in Universal Crankshaft by garages, mechanics and businesses.

Richard's expertise in assessing parts, damage and restoration options; the possibility of a preliminary evaluation by photo or video before transporting a heavy part; and the shop's reputation and direct relationships with a knowledgeable team.

Our shop also uses Rottler CNC machines, including an EM79 machining centre — see the shop's equipment.

Universal Crankshaft is a member of the E.R.I. buying group, a supply network for the engine parts industry that serves independent machine shops through Canadian sourcing agreements. This supports the company's industrial credibility, but is not a quality certification or a guarantee of timing, availability or results.
